2002 Prestige Trailer Rust

I have a 2002 Prestige trailer for my 2002 23v. I am not sure how many companies make trailers for Tige boats but this one is literally falling apart. I am wondering if anyone else has had similar problems. I will upload some pics in the near future. I am the second owner. Both the original owner and myself live in Missouri. He said it started this process of rusting almost immediately. He kept the boat at the lake most of the time and was not very concerned about the trailer. At this point it is rusting so badly I fear the welds are going to break. I can't believe a relatively new trailer is in this bad of shape. I contacted Prestige and they said the warranty is not valid because I am not the original owner. I have written Tige and encouraged them to not recommend these trailers if Prestige is not going to stand behind their product. Any thoughts?

If you are going to keep the boat for a long time I would contact Trailers By Dorsey and look into getting a new trailer. They build the best trailers and make them for almost all the Tige dealers in the mid west. Their web site is www.trailersbydorsey.com. They are great people and make a great trailer. Also, they are in Oklahoma so they are not too far from you.

I just saw this thread after posting about the trailer I have from Prestige falling apart... My trailer and boat are stored inside a heated air conditioned garage and there is no sign of rust. I live in Indiana so there was no salt issues either...
