All of last week my wife was feeling terrible due to some sort of hives that suddenly appeared. She went to her doctor and he prescribed a steroid and cortizone cream for treatment.

She thought she was over the hill until Wednesday night when a cough started. My wife is one that hates going to the Doctors office but I finaly got her to go to see the Doctor to find out that she has pneumonia which will lay her up for a few days.:(

So instead of being down south at Bullshoals we are house bound until Wednesday for my wife to get her heath back. At least it is only pneumonia.

The resort will allow us to re-schedule and I can reschedule but if my wife can't It becomes a canceled summer vacation.:(

To top it off my wife's brother can't go to Bullshoals because of his dirt bike crash and recovery from that(maybe) and now our issues are looking bad. We used to spend a lot of time boating together on vacation and normal weekends at my dad's running both of our boats for friends and family.:(

Man forgive my typing. No sleep last night as my typiing looks like when asleep last week.

Her doctors have said that we go from our house to lake Delavan since it is close to home.

If my wife starts to feel stressed or suddenly real tired I will put the boat back onto trailer and go home and get her to relax and sleep again.

Right now we are going to see if she can still go out on boat and relax and stay out for a couple of hours.

If so we will do a day trip a couple of times this week.

We are also going to see if my wife can take time off in August

I am a walking disaster. I broke her toes a few minutes ago when she was behind me and not realizing where she was I rolled the chair back wards and broke 1 or nails. FUBAR week un-F- real.

Wow, you two are on a roll (in a bad way). At least she can't blame you for the pneumonia. :D

Hope she recovers quickly and you can salvage the trip later.

Wife is much better now but June and July so far have been disaster for boating for her. It's hell to buy an new 20V and have maybe 30 hours on it. Boat has not seen water for a month.

All i need to do is wipe down the seat with 301 and put covers on which I plan to do tomorrow and if spice is still out of commission I will head up to Wisconsin for a day and then out to lake Syracuse for a 3-4 day weekend depending on how bad my dad gets on my nerves.

Knowing the pneumonia is real as well as her hives and a broken toe she has something going on and hopefully we find out what.

I looks like I can't win for loosing.

Because of back to school hours, she cannot take time off in August so I have got to find a way to head out with or without wife. If a go alone or with folks from work I have to convince her that all is OK.

Worse comes to worse is sell the 20V and get out of boating. Take the money from the sale and a trade on my 2000 Mustang convertible to enjoy and not look at it as a dust bowl.

Because wife of 30 years is just plain paranoid I may be best just selling a boat in like new condition and see what market mat bring me. Right now I am leaning on selling the 20V.

Dude, I'd go for the solo vacation with some of your best buds. Trust me, a guy needs a break from everything every once in a while. I used to do this annual fishing trip to northern Saskatchewan with my buddies every year. Haven't done it the last couple and it's kinda wearing on me.

This year, I'm going to my 30 year HS reunion solo and gonna meet up with some friends before hand for a few days of fun in NYC on my way back from Germany for a family reunion. I am so ready for that break in NYC.

Good Advice. I used to get away from it all when we headed South for Boating vacation with friends ,families and parents but it ended when my Mom passed away. I cannot stand being a tourist. I love the water and the boat and I find out after we jointly decided we should buy another boat that my wife has a fear of water and catching the boat on fire.

For my wife, my mother in-law and mom and they loved all the little shops in Branson, Eureka and other places to find sewing crafts.

All I do know is that wife is scared of a shadow when it comes to boating both on the water and when we trail the boat any where. Her view on boating is go up to a local lake, boat for an hour or 2 then go home. All of her paranoia has been there but it has gotten much worse since she toasted the lower unit and cooling jackets when impeller went out. Wasn't her fault but it happened and now paranoia exists

I do need time away from it all but at 52 and an costly boat being a dust magnet it would seem like the time to sell the 20V has arrived because I am not getting use of it at all and I would take cash out on boat and combine it with the sale of my Red Mustang so I can at least have flash ,fun and speed in a newer Mustang.

I made arrangements to reschedule BullShoals but now that is doomed because of a work related injury, my daughter who is a Physical Therapist, is scheduled is scheduled for first week in August so say goodbye to that month. Summer ends, times on water 6 hours.

May be time to look up NADA draft add and put up on a few sites. It is time to sell a great boat.
