Hello All,

I'm looking at getting a 22v Demo from my local dealer. Its a 2004 with full factory warranty/etc... If I install a rival ballast system will that void the warranty? Also, if it does void the warranty, is it just the lifetime hull warrenty or everything?

Thanks,

Loose66

Sorry but no answer to the original question, but I have one also.

Last year I bought a 2001 21i, it now has 100 hours on it, and I was wondering if there is any factory warrenty left. Anyone???

I dont think having a ballast system voids the warranty, The rival ballast system is sold by the tige dealer here in Az. The 22v is a Wakeboard boat and should be designed to handle ballast.

I was hoping to get an answer from a moderator or someone that has worked with Tige on a warranty issue (and had a rival system). Anyone?

I think the best place to get an answer is from your dealer. If they are so inaccessable to you that you have to post the question here...I think I would have serious issues. Especially if I were about to drop the kind of money a 2004 22V costs. Customer service is the word.

Demo boats are cheaper for a reason. They are sometimes driven hard by novices without any breakin period. I have heard that some warranty issues do not apply to demo boats. I would get it in writing. I think if an authorized Tige dealer installs the ballast you should not have any problems, but again, I would get it in writing. If you install it yourself and have a problem that could somehow be tied into the ballast system...

Thats funny you ask because i just emailed tige a week ago asking the same thing here is what i revieced as a response, "Adam

Thank you for the e-mail and glad to see everything is working out. With regards to the ballast system, if anything was to happen and it was traced back to the installation of the system that caused the failure then the warranty would be voided. There have been several customers that have had the Rival system installed and have had no problems. Hope this helps.

Please let me know if there are any further questions.

Thanks

Andrew:
I also had another question for you regarding my warranty, if I have an aftermarket ballast system installed what if anything does it do to my hull warranty? Does it void the warranty? I am thinking of having a Rival system installed, so I am concerned that the installation of the hull scoop or the overflow hull flow through will void my warranty. If you could let me know how that affects my warranty I would greatly appreciate it.
